I have had the pleasure of eating here for the past 10 years and I can honestly say, I have eaten countless things from their menu and I have NEVER had anything that was not outstanding! The food is home cooking, fresh and delicious always. The family atmosphere is attentive, warm and friendly, definitely a Houston institution in the making. I learned this past Sunday, they have opened a second location on Washington, I am thrilled for their success. Although, we did miss seeing Mira at the Richmond location; however, Jimmy did a splendid job!! This restaurant proves, with outstanding service and delicious food, success will follow and MARY’Z deserves it all!! Congrats!

Great authentic Mediterranean food. Family owned business with a great service that reflects the warm mediterranean hospitality. The falafels are a MUST: Fluffy, Flavorful, and Fresh. The Taouk sandwich is MmmMm Good… And the Baba Ghannouj!!!! Close your eyes with every bite and you can almost hear the mediterranean waves!!

5 STARS and would give 10 if I could. This place is amazing, the family is so nice and welcoming. The momma there, Mary, is always so nice and involved with her customers. Nothing better than a family owned business. Now the FOOD…WOW… by far the best in town, its just as good as the food in the middle east. Authentic and made with love. I havent had a bad dish yet and I have been dining here for 6+ years. Ask for daily speicals, everyday is a different Lebanese dish 🙂 Thursdays are my favorite!

Excellent food, good atmosphere, and smooth, flavorful hookah. This is a nice place for a night with friends or a date, in my opinion.

Mary’s sampler is my favorite dish. Great hookas and bartender makes great drink!

Excellent. I am in Houston for business and wanted to have some different food. This is authentic Lebanese food with lots of flavor and just delightful.

We have awesome lebanese and middle eastern cuisine in Paraguay and I can tell you Mary’z makes an awesome Kafta Kabob which is highly recommended. I have eaten the grape leaves with rice and meat inside since a kid and this is as good as it gets. My favorite lebanese dish though is Kibbi and once I tried it they have me as a returning customer for as long as I’m in Houston. You can’t go wrong with these and if anything is missing, try the baklava for dessert.

Great lunch!!  Hummus was FRESH!!  Had the Kafta Kabob Sandwich…AWESOME!  I will be back to try something new!

One of the favorite Hookah spots in Houston not only because of the hookah itself, but the food too. It is a great place to come in the evening and relax with your friends. They have TVs where they usually put up the big sports games with plenty of space to watch.

The Hookah: well prepared with all the flavors every other hookah place has. It’s packed pretty well and prepared quickly. They mix and match flavors as well, so that’s always a nice luxury to have.

Great meditarranean food. They have a hooka bar in the back for those who like that. The place is very family friendly and everything we ate was good. I tried shawarma platter and my wife got something else (i dont remember the name) both were very good and the service was very fast.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. Service isn’t always attentive but the food is so out of this world it doesn’t matter that much.
The chich tawook is so well seasoned and the fried cauliflower is amazing. Best part is the fattoush though.
Take your friends and sit on the back patio. They have a projector and play a most of the rockets games.

One of the few options to have hookah and drinks at the same place! Great food for a reasonable price, friendly staff. As a family business, they that care of the details and checking if be very thing is good. Nice place, I would definitely go again

Was brought here by a colleague who can testify its authenticity.

Had all types of appetizers and a meat dish.

With about 7 years of experience in middle east food, can tell you it is pretty legit.

One of Houston’s hidden gems! Hookah & great food!! There are so many great things to say about this hidden hangout spot. The food is authentic, the environment is inviting and the owners are super accommodating!

As you walk up to a deck-like entrance the patio spits to the left and right. Entering to the left is the traditional restaurant feel with booths and a huge bar to the right.

The right side entrance is a huge square patio with chairs and tables only. There’s a huge tv on the wall as well for entertainment. Very relaxed, laid back scene. Everyone is eating/smoking hookah. If you DO NOT like smoke don’t come on this side!!! Seating is open to your choice. The waiters will come to you!

This place is awesome!! And to make it even greater the FOOD is OH SO TASTY! Chicken shawarma is always a great choice, fried cauliflower is my favorite!! And green beans with tomato sauce a must try! Drinks are strong and hookah is fresh!

One negative is parking, gravel floors and limited space!! They do have valet but it’s small space so it can get congested

Regular there!  Jimmy makes great drinks. Hookah is good and food good too 🙂 awesome hang out spot.

Seriously my home away from home. Been coming here for ages now. Best hookah and Lebanese food in town. Service is impeccable and the owners are amazing. They really do take care of you like family. Will always be my go to spot.

Family owned. Very cozy and warm. Food is great. Price is even better. Awesome layout and atmosphere. Wish we had one in Miami.

Been coming here for years. The hookah is decent but the ambiance, drinks, and good food make it worth it!  I love their falafel sandwiches. Not a huge fan of their pita bread. Will def be returning again.

What an experience, I have read about Mary’z for couple of years on Yelp and finally decided to give it a try.  Been in Houston for 3 years, ate at many Lebanese restaurants in Houston and in California before.  I am here to tell you that this is the best and most authentic Lebanese food I ever tasted in a restaurant outside Lebanon.  Even my father who is 82 years old and famous for criticizing every Lebanese restaurant I take him to, he praised Mary’z nonstop for the entire day.

We will be back soon even-though we have to drive about an hour to get there.  It is worth it.
